DEAD EYES #1

RELEASED in 2018 under the name Dead Rabbit, this comic was initially short-lived after a bar with the same name in New York sent a cease and desist notice to publisher Image Comics, threatening to sue for millions.

A mandatory recall of the comic was made, and that was that.

Except now it’s back, with a new name – Dead Eyes.

Dead Eyes was a prolific stick-up man and hoodlum in ‘90s Boston until he took down one last big score and disappeared.

The truth was he’d retired to be with the love of his life but now he’s forced to get back in the mask to save her.

Written by Gerry Dugan, and drawn by John McCrea, Dead Eyes #1 is out now priced £3.60.

SPIDER-MAN RETURNS

IN a move that’s surprised no-one, a deal has been reached to bring Spider-Man, pictured, back to the MCU.

With Far From Home doing well at the box office, Sony, which owns the movie rights to the character had a falling out with Disney, which owns the rights to Marvel – the result of which saw Spider-Man in danger of being booted out of the MCU.

But now the industry giants have reached an agreement and Spidey is back – with a third movie already set for release on July 16, 2021.

‘SAY THAT AGAIN ... I DARE YOU’

THE next time you get frustrated and shout at your Amazon Echo, don’t be surprised if it challenges you to repeat your threat.

Alexa is getting a star-studded upgrade in the form of Samuel L Jackson, above, who is lending his voice to the smart speaker.

The Jackson Alexa ’Skill’ has the Nick Fury star offering weather updates, streaming requested tracks and telling pithy jokes.

The A-lister is the first celebrity voice to be rolled out on Alexa and can be added for a small fee when it lands on the app later this year.
