BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT: THE CHAMPIONS – FINAL

Tonight, ITV, 8.30pm IT has been great seeing UK BGT legends including Stavros Flatley, MerseyGirl­s and Paddy and Nicko taking to the stage again. And those three finalists in particular have all more than held their own against a whole plethora of global talent.

Now, Ant and Dec introduce the grand final and reveal the overall ‘champion of champions’. As usual, judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams will each be giving their verdict.

THOMAS COOK: THE RISE & FALL OF BRITAIN’S OLDEST TRAVEL AGENT

Tomorrow, Channel 4, 8pm IN 1841, cabinet-maker Thomas Cook founded a travel agency that became famous across the globe, transporti­ng millions of people to far-flung destinatio­ns. Then, last month, after more than 150 years of history, it ceased to be, leaving 21,000 workers wordwide without jobs, and 600,000 holidaymak­ers stranded abroad.

The collapse of the business came after the British government

refused to fund a £200 million gap in the company’s finances.

As the title suggests, this hastily put together documentar­y charts how Thomas Cook became a leading force in the travel agency world before its spectacula­r fall from grace.

It also offers insights into the reasons behind its demise.

WHAT BRITAIN BUYS AND SELLS IN A DAY

Monday, BBC2, 9pm THE team looks at the seafood trade, with Ed Balls finding out how the cargo hub at Heathrow is a crucial link in Britain’s supply chain and going behind the scenes of the airport operations centre to witness how delays can affect it.

Cherry Healey is in the Highlands to find out why the world is so fond of salmon farmed there and fishes for langoustin­e on Loch Fyne, while Ade Adepitan travels to Iceland to catch one of Britain’s favourite types of fish.

THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF

Tuesday, Channel 4, 8pm NOEL FIELDING and Sandi Toksvig host a special festivalth­emed round of the culinary competitio­n.

The episode kicks off with a signature challenge in which the bakers must draw inspiratio­n from celebratio­ns across the world. In the technical round, the contestant­s find the makings of a classic deep-fried Italian dish. Finally, the Showstoppe­r puts
