Kenton are quite a Force to overcome

CRAMLINGTO­N Vikings remain unbeaten in the Eagles’ Community Foundation Central Venue League’s Under-18 Division.

They secured a fourth victory of the season – although they were pushed hard by Kenton Force before coming through 49-45.

Westgate Hoopstars registered two great wins, edging out North Shields 34-32 and then defeating Oxclose 45-23.

There was also an impressive 91-28 victory for North Shields over CC Sparks.

■NORTH Shields’ two wins move them to a 4-0 record in Under-16 Division A.

The first was 49-42 against Kenton Force, the second 41-34 over Westgate Hoopstars.

Hoopstars also lost a really tight clash with South Tyneside 39-38 while Kenton beat Newcastle East Griffins 48-35.

In Division B, Oxclose continue to look strong – moving to 4-0 with a 51-29 victory over Ryton Rockets.

The Rockets, though, bounced back in fine style, seeing off Morpeth 49-22.

■NORTH Shields are the pacesetter­s in Division A of the Under-14 League, moving to 4-0 for the season after accounting for Newcastle East Griffins Black 37-27 and Cardinal Hornets Black 54-19.

Hornets Black defeated Kenton Force 37-28 and Force also went down to Westgate Hoopstars 39-37.

South Tyneside lead the way in Division B on 4-0 but Tyne Met Trojans are also unbeaten but a game behind with three wins.

South Tyneside registered an impressive 62-8 result against Morpeth.

Trojans also defeated Morpeth 41-19 and followed that up by beating Cardinal Hornets Gold 38-18.

Kingsmeado­w Kings celebrated a 29-10 success against Cardinal Hornets Stingers.

■■NEWCASTLE East Griffins are the team to catch in Division A of the Under-12 League and remain unbeaten with nine wins and a draw.

Griffins picked up victories over Kenton Force (26-13), Cardinal Hornets Black (19-17) and South Tyneside Gold (25-12).

Gold also lost 25-8 to Cardinal Hornets and 32-14 to Westgate Hoopstars.
