ANT & DEC’S DNA JOURNEY
Tomorrow, ITV, 9pm
APART from the brief spell last year when Declan Donnelly had to go it alone, we’re used to seeing Ant and Dec together.
It may be one of the reasons we’ve never seen either of them on Who Do You Think You Are? – as they aren’t related, the BBC would have to cram two searches into one episode.
ITV have found a way round that with Ant and Dec’s DNA Journey, a two-part special
which sees the presenters delving back into their family histories with the help of expert genealogists and historians.
They will use their DNA to uncover the roots of their family trees and find living relatives they never knew they had.
TRAVEL MAN: 48 HOURS IN MADRID
Monday, Channel 4, 8.30pm
RICHARD AYOADE teams up with comedian Ellie Taylor for a two-day meander around Madrid. The Spanish capital is a world-class destination for art, so Ellie and Richard kick off with a guided tour of masterpieces by Goya, Bosch, Velasquez, Picasso and Dali.
After that, they head
to a ham-carving workshop and sample a five-course tasting menu, of which four courses are pork or ham. They also visit a circus church, sip on vermouth, and embark on a grisly tour of the Spanish Inquisition.

DIY SOS: CHILDREN IN NEED SPECIAL
Wednesday, BBC1, 8pm
THE DIY SOS team, including host Nick Knowles and interior designer Gabrielle Blackman, descend on Blackburn to embark on a huge challenge in aid of Children in Need.
Their mission is to transform a rundown church hall into accommodation and a support centre for charity Nightsafe. It was established in 1990 and helps homeless young people in the area but its current accommodation centre is no longer big enough. The Purple Shirts have just nine days to transform the building.
I’M A CELEBRITY – SURVIVING THE JUNGLE Thursday, ITV2, 8pm
HARD to believe it’s a year since the last Australia-based challenge gripped millions.
Joel Dommett, no stranger to a Bush Tucker challenge, will be looking back at some of the best bits in a show cunningly disguised as a survival guide. With a little help from some fellow former campmates, the amiable host takes viewers on a ride down memory lane ahead of the next anticipated new series.
THE GADGET SHOW
Friday, Channel 5, 7pm
CRAIG CHARLES and the team celebrate the 400th edition of the technology programme, with Georgie Barrat building a birthday cake out of smartphones and 3D-printed buttercream. Jon Bentley heads to Paris to put the latest sat-nav devices through their paces, while Ortis Deley compares tech available when the show began in 2004 with the Apple iPhone 11. For the grand finale, the presenters embark on a mission to reclaim a world record they once held – for the longest jump by a remote-controlled car.
