Malone again, naturally

-

SHE may be a vicar, but Harriet seems more drawn to sinners than saints.

Following a relationship with bad boy Cain Dingle, she is now seeing former drug dealer Will Taylor, but could there be something brewing with corrupt cop DI Malone?

After Will came home injured after a drug couriering job, Harriet confronted Malone about getting Will involved in his dirty work and he tells Harriet he’s finished his dealings with her boyfriend, and Billy and Cain.

Reluctant to take him at his word, Harriet calls the police intending to report Malone, but he stops her in her tracks, insisting he means what he says.

However, after he once again promises to stay away from Will, Harriet takes a different course of action to protect her family – and it involves delivering some harsh words to her boyfriend who is recovering in hospital.

But can she really draw a line under recent events, especially when it starts to look like there may be more to her relationship with Malone – who she worked with during her career as an undercover police officer – than we first thought?

Over at Holdgate, Laurel manages to save Dotty from the burning tent, but Archie and Arthur are in serious trouble. Archie comes clean about what happened, but when Arthur tries to make excuses for himself, Laurel decides to teach him a lesson by involving the police.

Meanwhile Charity and Vanessa manage to make amends, but their happiness proves short-lived when Vanessa becomes ill. Priya and Al’s relationship is out in the open after Jai walks in on them, and Cain and Moira meet to finalise their divorce.
