1 FINDING DORY Today, BBC1, 6.20pm

DORY (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres) is the next-shell neighbour of Marlin (Albert Brooks) and his young son Nemo (Hayden Rolence) on the Great Barrier Reef. During a field trip to witness the stingray migration, the lovable blue tang experience­s a rush of fragmented memories of her parents Charlie (Eugene Levy) and Jenny (Diane Keaton), and the three plucky fish embark on an epic quest to California to reunite the forgetful daughter with her loved ones. Finding Dory is Pixar’s joyous computeran­imated sequel to one of its biggest hits, which mines the central character’s one-joke disability for gentle laughs without treading water.

2 JURASSIC PARK Tomorrow, ITV, 5.45pm

A GROUP of scientists (including Laura Dern and Sam Neill, pictured) is being given a sneak preview of a safari park set up on a remote island by an eccentric tycoon (Richard Attenborou­gh). The creatures on display are geneticall­y engineered dinosaurs, but when the prehistori­c beasts escape their cages, the visitors become their prey.

3 KONG: SKULL ISLAND Monday, ITV2, 6.40pm

BILL Randa (John Goodman) spearheads a government expedition to a Pacific island, searching for unidentifi­ed organisms. However, their sonic weapons rouse a 100ft ape and best-laid plans are smashed to smithereen­s. Crash-landed on the island, the survivors find themselves at the mercy of Kong. Samuel L Jackson, Brie Larson and Tom Hiddleston star.

4 THE MAGNIFICEN­T AMBERSONS Tuesday, BBC2, 3.05pm

ORSON WELLES wrote, directed and narrates this drama. A successful car manufactur­er is reunited with his lost love, now a wealthy high society widow, and hopes to give their relationsh­ip a second chance. Her selfish son strives to keep them apart. Starring Joseph Cotten ,Dolores Costello (pictured with Tim Holt) and Anne Baxter.

5 AMERICAN MADE Wednesday, Film4, 9pm

BASED on a true story, this briskly entertaini­ng 1980s-set caper sees Tom Cruise as Barry Seal, a money hungry former pilot recruited by the CIA to smuggle guns and cocaine to and from Central and South America, who exploits the opportunit­y to also run drugs for the cartels. Domhnall Gleeson, pictured with Cruise, plays his CIA handler.

6 BEAST Thursday, Film4, 9pm

HAUNTED by her past, shrinking violet Moll (Jessie Buckley, pictured) submits to a joyless life under the thumb of her mother (Geraldine James). When Moll encounters poacher and handyman Pascal (Johnny Flynn) the misfits fall head over heels in lust. Soon afterwards, Pascal becomes a suspect in the hunt for the murderer of young women on the island.

7 YOUNG ADULT Friday, BBC1, 11.15pm

MAVIS (Charlize Theron, pictured) is a harddrinki­ng writer who makes her living penning a series of Sweet Valley High-style teenage novels. After an email from her ex-boyfriend Buddy (Patrick Wilson) and his wife (Elizabeth Reaser) announcing the birth of their daughter, Mavis travels to her hometown, determined to show Buddy that he really belongs with her.
