It’s time to move on from aide

-

OVER the last few days there have been two major issues in the news – Dominic Cummings and Test and Trace. Which is more important?

Many politicians and the media introduce the issue of Dominic Cummings at every opportunity. Stop it! Move on! By repeatedly saying that because of what Cummings did the general public will ignore government advice will only make people think like that. However, I have a bit more faith in the British public as I think they will do the right thing.

Test and Trace will help to ease restrictions. Dominic Cummings won’t.

We all need to be honest and take responsibility over the coming months and work with the NHS tracers. This is extremely important, let’s focus on that. Move on, please! we had symptoms of this terrible virus, irrespective of childcare concerns. The message was and still is Stay At Home.

However it would appear that Mr Cummings travelled to a second home ‘just to be sure’ and that family members only delivered food to him and his family while they self-isolated in their second home.

While I accept he might not have any friends in London that would be willing to help with his food shopping, has he not heard of online shopping? Or does he know too many secrets to be sacked? hypocrisy of the South-Eastbased British press which shows utter contempt for anyone who dares to have a home in the North East – surely no-one can have a life 270 miles from London! But the North East might have expected better of the Labour Party.
