BEST OF THE REST
BRITAIN’S BRIGHTEST CELEBRITY FAMILY
ITV, 8pm
“TWO more people are aiming to prove that not all celebrities are completely clueless,” quips quizzing titan Anne Hegarty.
It’s a footballing special, with John Barnes and Matt Le Tissier’s families battling it out to win £25,000 for their chosen charity.
Barnes apparently is a bit of a closet quizzer, but Le Tissier is feeling competitive.
There’s a quickfire round on general knowledge, questions about British sitcoms in the specialist round, a memory test featuring cartoon animations of Anne, plus a round to identify categories.
It’s all good fun, and according to Anne, definitely a show that the whole family can join in with.
She says: “I do hope people will enjoy playing at home, these are rounds that children are very good at.
“I don’t know if you’ve ever played a game where you have to memorise things – generally every adult will get their bum kicked by a child under 10, kids can be amazing.”
UNBELIEVABLE MOMENTS CAUGHT ON CAMERA
ITV, 9pm
THIS candid camera show returns with more footage captured by members of the public around the world, with Alexander Armstrong narrating.
Watch out for the heartstopping story of a man who took a ‘pleasure flight’ on a hang-glider, but the pilot forgot to attach him.
Two people recount their fear on board a cruise ship that suffered engine failure in rough seas off the coast of Norway, a heroic cop throws the rule book out of the window when trying to save a baby’s life and the US Navy comes to the rescue when a plane crashes in the Pacific.
Elsewhere, a moose causes chaos when it falls through a small window into a residential basement, while, in New Jersey, a fire at a dance studio forces girls to jump from a first floor balcony.
And back in the UK, a bride and groom are in for a surprise when their wedding guests organise a flash mob.
