1 STORMZY showed off his DIY skills when he turned up to paint 15-yearold schoolboy Ishae’s bedroom in Croydon as a reward for the teenager’s positive behaviour at school. Ishae is a big Stormzy fan and the grime artist worked with decorating company The Good Guys to surprise him. He also signed Ishae’s wall afterwards.
2 TAKE That’s Gary Barlow surprised fans all over the country in 2015 by turning up to sing at their weddings. Bride Anita Jayne Morrissey-Booth was among those left speechless when he made a surprise appearance at her wedding reception at Knowsley Hall. Gary tweeted at the end of the year: “I’ll look back fondly at 2015 as the year of the wedding crasher!”
3 HARRY Potter star Daniel Radcliffe surprised fans in an American movie theatre in 2014. They all thought they were being interviewed for their reactions to Daniel’s latest movie, What If, when he walked up behind them and shocked them by saying hello and staying for a chat.
4 FOOTBALL star David Beckham treated senior paramedic Catherine Maynard and her elderly patient to a hot cup of tea and coffee when he spotted them in the cold waiting for an ambulance in 2016. Catherine, who works with London Ambulance Service’s Cycle Response Unit, said: “I saw someone who looked like David Beckham walking past us. He said hello and got in his car. I said to the man I was treating, ‘I think that was David Beckham’. Ten minutes later, he came back with a cup of coffee for me and a tea for the patient.”
5 ONE Direction’s Niall Horan headed off to Starbucks for a big hot chocolate order when he spotted fans shivering in the cold in New York. He learned they had been queueing overnight to see him on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon in 2016 and he decided they needed something to warm them up.
6 HIP-HOP artist Example took a group of Glasgow fans out for an early dinner at Nando’s before his city concert earlier this year. He also met fans backstage before a Nottingham concert as part of Random Acts of Kindness drive.
7 CANADIAN singer Justin Bieber threw super fan Ashley a surprise quinceañera party in 2015 after she missed her coming-of-age party because of illness. The celebration was organised as part of the Fox channel show Knock Knock Live and Justin even turned up with a selection of dresses for her to choose from and danced with her to his song Pray.
8 SERGEANT Scott Moore took to YouTube while serving in Afghanistan to invite Friends With Benefits film actress Mila Kunis to be his date for the Marine Corps Ball in 2011. She accepted and turned up in a ball gown to join the marine at the military event in North Carolina.
9 POP star Taylor Swift gave back to one of her biggest fans in the best way possible after she attended her bridal shower in 2014. Gena Gabrielle had sent her a wedding invitation, but the singer knew she could not make the date so turned up at the bridal party in Ohio instead bearing gifts.
10 BEYONCE and her Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland gatecrashed a karaoke booth session by three fans in Miami Beach in 2014 and joined them for a few songs. The Grammy winner had heard them crooning her song Party and decided to pop in and meet them.
