HOCKING scenes in this India-set period drama saw Maan stab his best friend Firoz in a fit of jealousy.

Believing that Firoz (Shubham Saraf) had been secretly having an affair with his lover Saeeda (Tabu), Maan (Ishaan Khatter) saw red and now he’s in prison having confessed his crime.

Meanwhile, Firoz’s life hangs in the balance – and whether he lives or dies, murder or attempted

murder is not a good outcome for Maan.

Needless to say, this is an emotional and turbulent final episode as this epic family saga barrels towards its conclusion.

Maan’s crime has a disastrous effect on the Kapoor family, who are all being surprisingly kind to him considering what he’s done.

There are devastating consequences for his actions, not least that the bad press is used against his father in India’s first general election campaign.

Meanwhile, the Mehra family finds out that Maan has been arrested over their breakfast while reading the newspaper.

“He’s brought disgrace upon the whole family. What will happen to you now?” says Rupa to her daughter Lata.

Lata (Tanya Maniktala) has her own problems – mainly which man to marry.

“The key to a good marriage is to find a man who will give you the space to grow,” advises a friend.

A surprise meeting between two of her love rivals leaves Lata looking at love with fresh eyes.

Then, after more meddling from her family, and emboldened by casting her vote in the first election, she makes a surprising decision about her future.
