BEDLINGTON Social Club were made to work hard for their 5-2 home victory over The Fat Ox Whitley Bay in the Blyth and Wansbeck League.

Social led 2-0 but two goals from Karl Charlton levelled the scores at the break.

However, in the second half Social Club hit three counters without reply, their tally courtesy of Andrew McLennen (4) and Michael Angus.

Newsham and New Delaval defeated visitors Blyth Rangers 5-0 thanks to efforts from Gavin Agnew (2), Ryan McKee, Connor Vincent and Liam McKee.

Blyth Town Sunday beat Bedlington Station SC 4-2.

Scorers for Blyth Town were Ross Gilchrist, Liam Gillesphey, Sam Watts and Martyn Hepple.

Station Lounge took the Ashington derby honours with a 12-2 success against Bubbles.

Jake Thompson bagged both goals for Bubbles, Jordan Streener (3), Connor Willis (2), Rylan Clark (2), Mathew Dunn (2), Andrew Bell, Kai Downey and Matty Nelson for Lounge.

Bedlington Breakers overcame Ellington Plough 2-1 thanks to Marc Ord and Ethan Lowes.

West Allotment SC saw off Bedlington Bank Top 4-2 with Ryan Thompson (2), Michael Butcher and Thomas Faidon on target, Tommy Wilkinson and Adam Dixon replying.

■ ■WINDSOR progressed in the North East Sunday League’s John Cummings Challenge Cup, defeating Marlboroug­h Social 5-2.
