DANGEROUS loner Gavin Gray used stolen photographs from women’s Facebook accounts to set up fake escort profiles.

The pervert bombarded victims with online abuse and sent their pictures to be advertised on a website called Locanto as escorts.

A court heard one of the victims had met Gray on a dating site and he took sickening photographs of himself sexually abusing her while she was asleep and then advertised her as an escort.

The 42-year-old, from Blyth, Northumberland, also sent sexual messages to underage girls and illicit chat to a fake child profile set up by paedophile hunters.

Prosecutor Emma Dowling told Newcastle Crown Court: “He sent unwanted messages and in some cases set up fake profiles for the females on escort sites, or threatened to do so.”

Miss Dowling added: “The prosecution case is these offences show a pattern of controlling, demeaning and hostile behaviour towards women.

“It shows he doesn’t react at all well to rejection.”

The court heard a woman who met Gray on the Badoo dating site was sent graphic photographs he had taken of her while she was asleep.

Miss Dowling said: “He sent a link to the Locanto site he had set up without her consent.

“He uploaded images of her, naked. “She was distressed.

“He threatened to send some of the photographs to her sister.”

Miss Dowling said the escort site showed the victim’s full name and age and advertised that she would “f*** anything”.

Gray’s phone contained pictures of him carrying out sexual acts on the woman while she was asleep.

The woman said she was left feeling “completely violated” and added: “It makes me feel sick”.

Miss Dowling told the court Gray had sent hostile messages to a different woman on Facebook and then she received a request from an unknown male, who had seen the Locanto advert, asking for sex.

Miss Dowling told the court: “He referred to an advert he had seen on Locanto and sent screenshots.

“The advert had a photograph of her and her phone number, advertising her for sexual services.”

The court heard Gray contacted a 17-year-old on Facebook and called her a “silly little girl” then warned he had sent pictures taken from her account to a porn site.

He messaged other, underage, teens and asked them to carry out sexual acts for him on camera and sent similar communication to a member of a paedophile hunters group called STOP.

Gray, of Marlow House, Blyth, admitted attempting to have sexual communications with a child, sending malicious communications, having sexual communications with a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity and two sexual assault charges.

Judge Robert Adams sentenced Gray to eight years behind bars and said he was a “dangerous” offender. He must also sign the sex offenders register and abide by a sexual harm prevention order for life.

Andrew Walker, defending, said Gray was of previous good character and has led a “lonely and isolated” life and has a history of mental health problems.
