With a movie career spanning just 11 years, Grace Kelly went from bit-part player to Hollywood icon, starring in as many as 15 films and serving as a muse to director Alfred Hitchcock.
Even at the top of her game, Kelly was admired for her beauty, yet vilified for her promiscuity. But was she just another victim of rampant sexism that plagued the industry?
Ultimately, Kelly’s talent shone through.
Drawing on archive footage and interviews, the programme charts Kelly’s rise.

FOOTBALL’S DARKEST SECRET Monday, BBC1, 9pm
Bafta-winning director Daniel Gordon’s three-part documentary examines the abuse of young footballers from the mid-1970s to the mid-1990s.
We learn how many were too afraid to speak out about their experiences until one man – Andy Woodward – bravely came forward.
Since then, more than 800 victims have broken their silence, identifying around 300 suspects. Survivors and their families discuss how their experiences have impacted on their lives, with many living a nightmare after their dreams were shattered.
KATE GARRAWAY: FINDING DEREK Tuesday, ITV, 9pm
In March 2020, shortly after Britain first went into lockdown, Derek
Draper was admitted to hospital with Covid-19. One year later, he has still not come home. His wife, journalist and presenter Kate Garraway, is grateful for the support she has received from the public, but knows that her experience isn’t unique.
In this documentary, she talks about how her family has been forced to adjust to a new way of life, and meets people who have been through similar ordeals, including a community nurse who is suffering from the effects of long-Covid.

Nick loves his wife and wants to
make his sons proud, so the experts attempt to unearth the new Nick.
Also featured is security guard Michelle, whose drab clothes and reclusive lifestyle are a far cry from her fun, fashion-loving past.

THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW Friday, BBC1, regions vary
Graham chats to father-and-son duo Liam Neeson and Micheal Richardson, stars of comedy drama Made in Italy, which follows a London artist and his estranged child trying to fix their relationship while doing up a house in Italy.
The Serpent’s Tahar Rahim is promoting his new film, The Mauritanian, and The Good Wife actress Cush Jumbo reveals her part in the thriller The Beast Must Die. Comedian Rob Brydon and the queen of Dragon’s Den, Deborah Meaden also make an appearance.
