Fed up with the contradictory rules

-

A FRIEND on a recent visit to Costco was told by the manager, “Put on a face mask or leave”!

This friend has recently completed a course of radiotherapy for a brain tumour. Upsetting! Annoying! A blatant disregard for anyone with health problems, visible or invisible.

Whatever you do, when you next shop at Asda, do not use the ‘Trolley Tills’ unless you have a trolley. You will be told to stand in the queue to use the ‘Basket Tills’. No consideration can be given if you have a mobility problem and simply wish to pay for your goods and leave by the shortest route possible.

If you are deaf/hard of hearing, wherever you go, do not expect any consideration, especially from those wearing ‘face nappies’ as I now call them. Until these people lose their hearing they will never understand how hearing loss affects people. No-one will give any consideration if you wear glasses and a face nappy causes them to steam up, leaving you not only deaf but visibly impaired also.

Now two households can meet in their gardens, ‘face nappies not required.’ So why are we being told to wear face nappies everywhere we go?

I am so sick and fed up with the contradictions! I’ve a long-awaited hair appointment booked, I am dreading what rules are put in place as the time gets closer. Perhaps I will be asked to produce papers to prove I’ve been jabbed.

Freedom of movement and speech stopped. Isolation, loneliness and fear have ruled us for far too long. I have disagreed with many things during this situation.

I daresay many of us will be dreading September, because if we believe all we are told, by then we will be entering a third wave, which they say will be far worse than the first and second.

We British never wanted a ‘police state’ – that is the reason our police do not carry weapons – but a weaponless police state is what we have.

The rules and restrictions set out by a handful of people. All this government has succeeded in doing as far as I can see, is set one man/woman against the other, black against white and made hate the order of the day.

It is time for more kindness/ understanding and less ignorance and bigotry.
