Ball pit bar plays host to divorce parties

-

WE’VE all heard of wild stag and hen dos or big bashes to mark a special birthday, but what about a party to celebrate your divorce?

Well, that’s something a Newcastle venue has been asked to host after launching ‘all-singing and dancing bottomless’ parties.

Howlers, the city’s first ball pit bar which opened on Collingwood Street in October last year, says it has had a number of bookings for divorce parties and believes they will become a trend that will continue to grow.

Described as ‘not for the fainthearted,’ the venue’s bottomless parties that take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday have been designed for the party crowd who are looking to celebrate with something different.

Tony Clark, Howlers general manager, said the events have attracted those looking to celebrate their divorce.

“We know lots of other venues offer bottomless brunches but none quite like ours,” he said.

“We’re seeing more and more people celebrate all types of occasions from divorce parties, stag and hen dos, new jobs as well as the traditional birthday parties, but they all want to do something different and make unforgettable memories.”

The first ‘bottomless bonkers’ event was a sell-out when it took place last Saturday with more than 250 revellers.

The attending the bottomless party events can expect 90 minutes of unlimited drinks along with pizza as they enjoy a live show hosted by drag queens.

Drinkers can take part in games including ‘boujee bingo,’ crowd karaoke, lip-sync battles, and play in the Howlers ball pit.

Tickets start at £19.99 per person and include bottomless prosecco, beer or selected cocktails, pizza and entertainment.
