- By MARK CARRUTHERS

WHICKHAM manager Tony Fawcett has warned his side to ‘keep its feet on the ground’ after the FA Cup heroics against Frickley Athletic.

The Lang Jacks set up a home tie against Ebac Northern League rivals Sunderland RCA with a fine 2-1 win over the Northern Counties East League club on Sunday afternoon.

Fawcett’s men now turn their attention back towards maintaining their 100% league record when they make the long trip to Division One newcomers Pickering Town tonight - and they travel to North Yorkshire with the words of warning from their manager ringing in their ears.

He said: “It has been a positive start but we have to keep our feet on the ground.

“Some of the games we have played, I think we would have been expected to win, but there are tough tests ahead.

“I have watched Pickering and they competed well against Heaton Stannington so we know it won’t be a pushover.”

Striker Scott Jasper and Jack Moody are unavailable for the visit to North Yorkshire.

Elsewhere tonight, two other sides who produced fine FA Cup wins meet as Seaham Red Star host Heaton Stannington.

The visitors will be without suspended defender Laquan Esdaille after he was shown a red card in their opening night draw with West Auckland Town.

Ashington will hope to continue their impressive start to the season when they visit West Allotment Celtic.

New signing Matthew Wilkinson could be available for West Auckland Town for their game at Sunderland RCA.

Tow Law Town will hope to set up an FA Cup preliminary round home tie against Ashington when they host Tadcaster Albion in a replay.

Prudhoe YC will hope to move on from their first league defeat of the Division Two season when they travel to title favourites Billingham Town.

Birtley Town host Chester-lestreet United and Chester-lestreet Town entertain Redcar Town at Moor Park.

Blyth Town will look to build on their impressive win at Newcastle University when they visit Sunderland West End.
