TV soaps get kids in a right lather

-

WHO do we have to contact to get the bosses of our once lovable soaps to stop so much drink, drugs and underage sex and rudeness of teenagers toward their elders?

There are so many youngsters who surprisingly tune into our soaps only to be taught “I can do that” or “I think if I do that my mam/dad will give me those”.

I have watched Coronation Street, Eastenders and Emmerdale for years and the changes have been a disgrace and that’s all down to the writers!

If they can write stories like these how do they bring up their own kids - or are they not allowing their children to watch?

Clean up our televisions before kids rule the parents we are already banned from giving them a clip around the lug, plus what goes on on the TV is soon in our schoolyards!

Girls wearing short skirts, over-the-top make-up and jeans that have been painted on. Before it’s too late all real and responsible parents need to stand up and talk - now!

No phones in school make-up free and all pupils in full standard state uniform or removed from school until the parents put their own house in order! CHRISTOPHER PRESLEY, Barrack Road
