Your Wish help is so appreciated

-

I WOULD like to thank all the people who sent Chronicle Wish tokens anonymously to Cullercoats Methodist Church defibrillator fund.

With your help we collected 8664 tokens and raised £104.04, and have reached our target.

When training is completed the defibrillator will be a valuable asset for our church and community. Thank you once again. HAZEL SHIELDS, Cullercoats

Methodist Church LIVING in a bottle You’re drowning in booze You want to surface Don’t want to lose Your battle with demons The units of death You will end up drowning And take your last breath Your life is in tatters Life is a mess Drowning in sorrow Burdened by stress You’ve been at the crossroads You couldn’t decide Back to the bottle staff photo outside the Midland Bank, corner of Cloth Market and Mosley Street. You see I was branch manager at Aardee Locksmiths in Drury Lane and I was responsible for collecting my staff’s wages from there. I recognise some of the staff.

One in particular was Denis, on the end, I think he was head cashier. I think the young lad was David (not sure) and one of the girls was Tracy.

I was, and still am, a big Elvis fan. The staff knew me as rock’n’roll Keith. It would be nice to know what happened to you all.

I wonder if Denis is still around? He was a nice guy, very quietly spoken. Anyway perhaps if you see this you can let me know how you all are. This was 1981-1982. Thanks for the memories.
