THE custody battle over Matthew is so bitter, even Dot couldn’t resolve it, so Honey has no chance this week when she tells Charlie to back off.

Instead of taking her advice, Charlie reveals he’s informed social services that he’s applying for residency of his son. In response, Jack comes up with a plan that’s so drastic, even Max thinks it’s a bad idea, but can a surprise visitor succeed where Dot and trainee Wise Woman of Walford, Stacey, have failed and make him see sense?

Elsewhere, Patrick returns, which is good news for Denise who finally opens up about her problems. However, it’s bad news for Kim, who is about to get a lecture on why she should have been there for her sister.

Meanwhile, Abi continues to plant seeds of doubt in Steven’s mind about Lauren’s whereabouts, and he starts tracking her like a second-rate detective.

And as Jonny and Kathy become concerned about Whitney, the Carters prepare for a meeting with Fi.
