THE Northumberland Schools Games’ handball competition was staged at Cramlington Learning Centre.
It was won by the Morpeth and Ponteland team that won all five of its matches.
Run by Newcastle Vikings, six mixed girls and boys area teams competed for the honours in a series of roundrobin matches.
The Morpeth and Northumberland team went unbeaten to finish ahead of Tynedale with Cramlington and Seaton Valley third.
Ashington and Coquet finished fourth, Blyth and Bedlington were fifth and North Northumberland ended up sixth.
