Sneak thieves target crashed van man
SNEAK thieves stole mobile phones from a crashed van on Tyneside after the driver suffered a ‘medical episode’ at the wheel.
Police were called at about 2.50pm on Sunday following the crash involving a white van on Crowhall Lane in Felling, Gateshead.
They found the man driving the van had suffered a ‘medical episode’.
Nobody was injured in the collision, and the driver has since been discharged from hospital.
But following the crash, police received a report two mobile phones were stolen from the crashed van.
Inquiries to identify those responsible are underway, and anyone with information should call 101 quoting log 654 10/09/17.
