Man arrested after sexual assault claim

A clubber has been arrested after a woman reported being sexually assaulted in a Newcastle nightclub.

At around 1.40am on Sunday morning a 21-year-old woman told police a man she was talking to in Tup Tup Palace put his hand up her dress without her consent.

A 29-year-old man was removed from the club by security and was later arrested. He has since been released under investigation.

The suspect is described as black, six foot, bald, of muscular build and wearing a white shirt.
