Cracker of a giveaway at store opening

ALDI will celebrate the opening of a new store in Newcastle with a £100 giveaway for one lucky customer.

Preparations are now under way for the grand opening of the new supermarket on Walker Road, Walker on Thursday.

As part of the celebrations, 100 crackers will be presented to shoppers at the 8am opening with one shopper receiving a freebie.

Star of Aldi’s Christmas television adverts, Kevin the Carrot, will be hidden inside one of the crackers. The customer who finds him will receive £100 worth of shopping vouchers.
