Cestrians go further clear
ONLY one match survived the weather in the North East Women’s League Premier Division - and it saw leaders Durham Cestria increase their lead at the top.
The Cestrians won 4-1 at home against Hartlepool United to extend their advantage over Norton and Stockton Ancients to nine points although Norton have four games in hand.
Jenny Bitzer scored a first-half brace, Daisy Drake and Sophie Hodgson adding further goals in the second period. Caitlin Bates was on target for Pools, who stay in third.
