X Factor singer Ray Quinn and actress Jessica Pease, who played Prince Charming and Cinderella, greeted the children on stage.

Alicia and Aniah Bolam showed off their sparkling Disney princess dresses to Cinderella before Aniah tried on her tiara.

The group of under-threes were also given the chance to meet Buttons, played by Steve Walls, and Cinderella’s glamorous Fairy Godmother. Marley the pony, who pulls Cinderella’s carriage, was also introduced to the tots before the cast posed for photograph­s.

Gary Telfer, production manager of the pantomime, offered free tickets to the group for the January 5 performanc­e.

He said: “We heard that they had been let down for a second time and I just felt that we needed to do something. “We had some space at the show on Friday so it seemed like the right thing to do to get them in.”

It has been reported cast members refused to perform the final two shows of Jack and the Beanstalk because of “delayed payments”.

A source from the company claimed the cast had been paid on a weekly basis and it was only the final payment which was delayed.

The first showswere postponed when Denise Welch, who had been due to star, “parted company” with NS Pantomimes.
