Don’t let censure ruin our culture

THESE ridiculous spats over the use of words like “darling” MY name is Susan and I was born in Newcastle in 1960. My mother passed away several years ago and I never knew my father but she told me the name Patrick Moran whom she said she dated in 1959/1960.

My mother’s name at that time was Elizabeth Wafer (nee McMurchie) and she lived in the Wallsend area.

She also worked in local public house named The Black Bull during 1959/1960. I would like to know if anyone who knew my mother or Patrick Moran. If so could they please contact me with any information about Betty during this time. She would have been around 25 at the time. SUSAN BROWN (nee Wafer),
