Rubbish setting for artwork
REGARDING the proposed glass “world class visual arts project” along the banks of the Wear between Sunderland and Durham.
We in Durham already have a clever and attractive artwork in place commemorating Archimedes, the inspiration for the adjacent power-generating screw at Walkergate, but Durham County Council appear to have no interest in displaying the artwork, (also created at the National Glass Centre I believe), without the distraction of refuse bins and beer barrels, pictured left. Not a great backdrop for a selfie.
