No proof that Russia’s to blame

-

WHY does this Government follow the American lead in Russiaphobia? There is no concrete evidence that Russia was responsible for the recent poisonings. At best Mrs May can only say “highly likely” and justifies this phrase purely because the poison was made by the Russians in the 1970s.

The poison used to kill Kim Jong Un’s relative a couple of years ago was invented by the British, so are we guilty of that poisoning? Why would the Russians carry out such an atrocious crime now when they have everything to lose? Why do we not adhere to their request for a sample of the alleged poison? They have said they are prepared to co-operate in finding out who the perpetrators were. Are we telling lies, much the same as Blair and Bush did with weapons of mass destruction?

Only phrases such as “highly likely”, “probable”, “highly probable” are being used.

Surely the principle that someone is innocent until proven guilty must apply and in this case Russia is still innocent and Jeremy Corbyn is taking the correct attitude.
