SIXTEEN students from Newcastle College took part in a three-hour tennis coaching course run by Baseline Sports.

They learned about tennisrelated activities and how to adapt coaching sessions to ensure they are fully inclusive.

Following their training the students will help run the college’s tennis programme. ■■THE Merz and McLellan Cup the traditional curtain-raiser to the new North East Midweek Crikcet League season - will be staged on Sunday, April 22.
