Runaway dog on Metro is back home

A RUNAWAY dog who got on the Metro has been reunited with his owner.

Hugo boarded a train at Pelaw in Gateshead yesterday morning and was spotted by staff who kept him with them as they tried to find out where he belonged.

After putting an appeal out on social media, the worried owner got in touch.

A spokesperson for Nexus said they put an appeal on Facebook with a photograph of Hugo.

Very soon afterwards the owner got in touch and they were able to reunite him with his missing pet dog.
