Brechin residents have been warned over road closures and disruption to bin collections ahead of initial work on its multi-millionpound flood prevention scheme. The £16.3 million scheme was devised after a series of flash floods in the area since 2002. Early work will begin next month before the main construction work gets under way. The work will be carried out in several stages and will result in the closure of River Street and Witchden Road. Montrose Road and Bridge Street will also be affected.
