Call for Angus residents to make sure they are eligible to vote

Angus households will shortly be asked to check their electoral record is correct.

Local government elections take place on May 4 next year, and people aged 16 or over on that date are encouraged to register as they may be eligible to vote.

Electoral registration officer Alastair Kirkwood said: “To make sure you are able to vote at the elections next year, simply check the form when it arrives and return it as soon as possible.

“We would encourage you to take advantage of the facility of being able to simply reply online, by telephone or by text message.”
