Local discoveries in treasure trove
A 17th Century children’s rattle, far left, found in Pitlochry, and a medieval bishop’s seal, left, discovered in Boarhills in Fife, are two of the highlights of the annual treasure trove report.
The objects are among the archaeological discoveries reported to the Queen’s and Lord Treasurer’s Remembrancer and allocated to museums across Scotland.
The seal discovered was the Matrix of Bishop William de Lamberton.
