View singer forced plane to be diverted

-

One of the most high-profile incidents of drunken behaviour on an airline in recent times concerned Dundonian singer Kyle Falconer.

The View frontman was left facing a potential four-figure bill after he forced a Jet2 flight to divert to Nantes in June.

The 29-year-old singer was escorted from the plane, scheduled to fly from Reus in Spain to Glasgow, after his “aggressive behaviour” forced the crew to make an emergency landing.

It is alleged the singer lost his temper after being moved to a seat away from his girlfriend.

Jet2 has said the singer has been given a life ban from their flights and they will pursue him for the cost of the diversion.

He has appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court in relation to the alleged incident, but the case was not called.
