Oakden wins novice class at Forgandenny trials

Team GBR member Wills Oakden won the novice class at the inaugural Forgandenny Horse Trials at Baxterknowe Farm, Perthshire, riding Stephanie O’Neil’s seven-year-old gelding, Ballbreaker SD.

Forgandenny was Wills’ fourth win this year, including his first intermediate.

He is now aiming for the festival of British Eventing Gatcombe novice championships in a few weeks’ time.

Wills also took second place on his other ride, Francis Hay Smith’s Cooley Ghareeb (Joe), who has been produced by Wills since he was a three-yearold.
