Hail storms, torrential rain and thunderstorms hit Angus yesterday. Traffic on the Dundee-Forfar Road was delayed briefly near Kerbet Bridge where the flooded road was covered by an inch of hailstones. In Forfar very heavy rain in the afternoon flooded many roads as the drains quickly filled up. Traffic was reduced to a crawl and at the height of the storm several roads were almost impassable as the flood waters poured out of drains and manholes. The glens also had brief, violent showers.
