There were about 800 entries at the annual autumn show of the Dunfermline Horticultural Society, held in Pittencrieff Park yesterday. This represented a decrease of 100, which was mainly due to the large number of gardeners who have left to join the colours. The quality of exhibits was up to the usual standard and the display of blooms was very fine. A sale of the contents of a stall was made on behalf of wounded soldiers in the local VAD hospital. Contributions of goods to sell were made.
