Flyers to take on German opposition

-

The 2016-17 FiFab Fife Flyers take to the ice for the first time this weekend as they host German side EC Peiting in a pre-season double header.

EC Peiting were formed in 1968 and play their home games out of Eissporthalle Peiting Arena. They made it to the semi-finals of the Oberliga last year.

Flyers head coach Todd Dutiaume has confirmed Kyle Follmer will not have arrived in time for this weekend’s games, with Stanley Cup winner Ric Jackman and former Sheffield d-man Russ Moyer’s arrival still uncertain at this time.

The matches are at Fife Ice Arena at 7.15pm tomorrow and 6.30pm on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Flyers unveiled another new sponsor for the 2016-17 ice hockey season. Fife Auto Centre has joined the club’s Great8 initiative, which aims to expand links with business.
