Opera Bohemia’s La Traviata
The Old Kirk, Kirkcaldy August 27
Bringing opera to a new generation is the aim of Scottish company Opera Bohemia, who return to Kirkcaldy this weekend.
This will be one of 12 performances on the tour and a particularly pertinent stop for Kirkcaldy native and company co-founder Douglas Nairne.
With this new production of La Traviata, Opera Bohemia hopes to tempt people to give opera a try.
One of the world’s bestloved operas, La Traviata is packed full of wonderful music which many people will recognise, including the famous Brindisi and the soprano aria Sempre Libera.
Nairne’s new production promises to be something special with performances from Catriona Clark, Aaron McAuley and Andrew McTaggart.
The performance will be accompanied by the Opera Bohemia Ensemble and conducted by Alistair Digges.
