Kelty seek sixth-straight win

-

Bottom-of-the-table CARNOUSTIE PANMURE are looking to kick-start their season, so a trip to league leaders KELTY HEARTS, the only side with a 100% record, is not ideal, writes Peter Rundo.

But despite losing all five games to date, Gowfers boss Alan McSkimming is far from downcast, citing a catalogue of injuries as a major factor.

He still has six players rated no better that 50/50 for Central Park, but Danny Millar returns, and he will include two loan signings from Senior clubs in his squad: Declan Milne, a striker from Montrose, and fullback Liam Gibb from Dundee.

The Fifers will be along similar lines as they look to post their sixth-straight win. Third-placed HILL OF BEATH head for Penicuik trying to make it three wins out of three on the road.

Recently recruited Tam Hampson from Rosyth could make his competitive debut after being involved in a midweek friendly against Thornton Hibs. DUNDONALD BLUEBELL head to Bo’ness, who were emphatic winners at Jeanfield last week.

JJ Austin has been recalled by East Fife; Calum Young and Stuart McDonald are unavailable, whilst striker Scott Lawrie is out for eight weeks after being injured during the 5-2 defeat to Penicuik last week.

With Stuart Walton off to Tayport and Liam Rolland released, the Moorside club have just 14 available players.

Boss Stevie Kay is calling on the defence to tighten up, as conceding soft goals has been costing them dearly. JEANFIELD SWIFTS are away to Broxburn and are again without the on-field services of player/manager Ross Gunnion.

Also sidelined is recent signing central defender Mark Duigan, who has yet to make his debut.
