-

A group of Strathmore Springs staff in Forfar cleaned up Forfar Loch Country Park as part of environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Clean Up Scotland campaign.

Seven Strathmore Water factory employees were joined by Angus Countryside Rangers to clean the popular greenspace and collected 19 bags of litter and recyclable material, including a shoe and a child’s scooter, from the area.

Roger White, chief executive of owners AG Barr, said: “We take our environmental responsibilities seriously and are proud to work closely with Keep Scotland Beautiful supporting their Clean Up Scotland campaign to improve local environments and encourage people to do the right thing and dispose of their litter properly.

“This week’s clean-up has made a real difference to this popular outdoor space at Forfar and is a great example of how strengthening links with the local community can deliver great results.”

Derek Robertson, chief executive of Keep Scotland Beautiful, said: “AG Barr is a business which is committed to improving the local environment – from inspiring retailers and shoppers to improve their own local environments, to encouraging employees to help clean up Scotland.

“I would like to thank AG Barr for supporting the Clean Up Scotland campaign.”
