Countdown on for applications to GSK grant awards scheme
Time is running out to apply for a grant from the GSK Angus Community Awards scheme.
The Montrose-based GSK manufacturing site has committed £10,000 for the awards, which will be made to local organisations dedicated to improving the community by helping people to do more, feel better and live longer.
Engineering director Chris Barbour, who leads the charitable donations team, said, “We have received lots of applications already which is great, and we are keen to ensure that as many local groups as possible have the opportunity to benefit from this scheme.
“GSK has been a major employer in Angus for decades and have a long history of supporting community groups and that is something we are keen to continue with the GSK Angus Community Awards.
“I would encourage anyone who feels that their group could benefit from a donation to apply as soon as possible.”
Non-profit-making charities or community groups wishing to apply for an award – ranging from £100 to £1,000 – to fund a specific activity or purpose that will benefit people in Angus and the Mearns can email UK-SiteMontrose@gsk.com to receive an application form.
The closing date for completed applications is Friday.
The GSK site in Montrose has been in operation since 1952.
