Charity hopes Christmas cards will fly off the shelves

-

SCAA, Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, is looking for help from Santa to give its festive fundraising a lift-off.

The country’s only charity-funded air ambulance has produced a Christmas card featuring SCAA flying to the aid of an injured Santa after his sleigh ploughs into a snow drift.

The life-saving charity is hoping people across Scotland will buy the colourful cards to help boost their funds and raise SCAA’s profile.

David Craig, SCAA’s chief executive, said he hopes the cartoon card will have widespread appeal.

“SCAA works 365 days a year flying to serious accidents and medical emergencies all over Scotland,” he said.

“Our vital work is serious and extremely demanding but the card is a bit of festive fun and shows that SCAA’s there for everyone – even Santa.”

The cards, priced £4 for a pack of 10 (plus postage and packaging), are available to order from SCAA by phoning 0300 1231111.

They are also on sale at the SCAA offices at Perth Airport, near Scone.
