Mixed response to rights and wrongs of a minimum price for drink

It is a shame for the rest of us who have to pay the price for the abuse by others… My wife even thinks it might create a kind of black market for this cheap stuff. Phillip Docherty, 62, retired lecturer, Dundee.

You have to ask why people are drinking, rather than just treat the symptom. There is a cultural issue in Scotland; people are almost shocked when you say you don’t drink. Jane Torvaney, 54, a physio, Tayport.
