Poetic licence
“Watching a repeat of ‘To The Manor Born’, I thought I heard a character mention Dundee,” writes a Craigie regular. “Rewinding the recording confirmed that he had indeed mentioned the great city of my birth,” he says.
“It was a retired brigadier who was trying desperately to renew his driving licence and was told at the village post office that he would have to fill in a form and send it to the appropriate office in Dundee.
“I reckon the writer was using poetic licence, since the last I heard was that such matters are dealt with in Swansea in Wales.”
