RORY’S RECORD Milnathort’s Rory Muir (Aberdeen Univ) broke the Scottish Universities Indoor Freshers Meeting 800m record with 1:54.07 at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow, writes our athletics correspondent.

Fife AC’s Halina Rees (Strathclyde) won the 3,000m by 90 seconds in 10:15.53.

Hawkhill’s Kirsty Reynolds (Robert Gordons) won the 800m in 2:36.25.
