FORFAR: Strathmore Chapter, No 134 OES is hosting a bingo tea within the Masonic Lodge, Couttie’s Wynd, Forfar, on Monday with eyes down at 7.30pm.

CARNOUSTIE: Barry Church Guild held their annual coffee morning in the Philip Hall on Saturday and raised £435.

MONTROSE: Montrose Accordion and Fiddle Club meets tomorrow at 7.30pm in the Park Hotel with special guest Gary Blair from Glasgow.

KIRRIEMUIR: There is a film night in the boardroom at St Andrew’s Church, Kirriemuir, on Thursday at 7pm. Entry is by a donation to view a cartoon followed by the feature film. CARNOUSTIE: Carnoustie Panbride Church raised £442 at a coffee and pancake morning on Saturday.

MONTROSE: Montrose and District Floral Art Club were entertained by Valerie Brymer, Gordon Watson and Diane Turberfield.

The next meeting is on Tuesday March 14 in the George Hotel at 7.30pm.

Pattie Dawson from Morland will be the guest.

FORFAR: A World Day of Prayer service will be held at Forfar Community Church, Wellbraehead, on Friday at 7pm.

It is one of more than 600 services being held throughout Scotland.
