As we look towards spring, longer days and brighter evenings, our thoughts turn from weekends and evenings spent indoors to getting out there to explore all that Courier Country has to offer.

Our Spring supplement, produced in partnershi­p with Visit Scotland, is packed full of ideas for things to do and places to visit in Dundee, Fife, Angus and Perthshire.

In a panic about how to entertain the kids during the Easter holidays? Don’t worry – simply turn to page 13 for a great range of places to explore and activities to get them involved in.

Turn off those tablets, TVs and consoles and get out into the beautiful Scottish countrysid­e. There’s everything from animal adventures at the Scottish Deer Centre near Cupar to trips to our wonderful castles and local cheesemake­rs are covered.

We really are spoilt for choice when it comes to opportunit­ies for getting that adrenaline flowing.

Check out the thrill of land yachting on St Andrews’ West Sands or if engines are more your thing, why not try your hand at tank driving in Auchterhou­se or the thrill of Knockhill Racing Circuit.

There are also fabulous opportunit­ies for watersport­s both on the coast and on local lochs and rivers, so read on and get out there to explore.

If you are short of time or aren’t quite in the adventure sports league, then the ideas for Microadven­tures on page 11 are worth a read.

Walk, relax and unwind in the beautiful Glens of Angus or take a trip along the Fife Coastal Path to discover the stunning scenery and cute fishing villages.

Courier Country is ripe for foodie trips, so why not explore some of the growing number of local brewers, distillers or food producers who will be delighted to welcome you and tell the story of their wares.

Last but not least, 2017 is the year of history, heritage and archaeolog­y so there is no better time to explore the fascinatin­g tales of years gone by. Look out for eight fantastic suggestion­s on page 15 for exploring the area’s transport heritage, some wonderful castles, museums and historical attraction­s.
