FIDDLE CLUB The special guests at Montrose Accordion and Fiddle Club tonight will be the Steven Carcary Trio.

All welcome at the Park Hotel from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.

NATURAL HISTORY The next meeting of the Montrose Natural History and Antiquaria­n Society will be held in Montrose Museum at 7.30pm on April 11.

The meeting will begin with the annual meeting, followed by a talk, 1821: Murder In Montrose, Margaret Is Convicted, in which Hilary White will reveal the story of Margaret Tindall or Shuttlewor­th, the last woman to be publicly hanged in Montrose.

Annual membership is £12, visitors £3 and school students may attend free of charge. COFFEE MORNING Aberlemno Church is hosting a coffee morning in the Guide Hall, Myre Road, Forfar on Saturday from 10am to noon.

Usual stalls and entry £2.

KEPTIE BAKERY Letham’s Keptie Bakery has made it to the shortlist in the Scottish Baker of the Year 2017 competitio­n.

More than 11,000 customers voted for their favourite bakery products across six categories.

MONTROSE The Royal British Legion social club has announced the opening of a new community hub and café on the premises. It is open every Monday morning from 9am to noon.
