Me and My Dog: The Ultimate Contest (BBC2, 8pm-9pm)

Dog owners and their pets compete in the final stage of the contest, taking place in the Lake District and hosted by Chris Packham. First, the Red and Yellow teams face a difficult canine intelligen­ce test which involves Lake Windermere and some dog toys, with one pair proving just how far they have come. Then, the remaining competitor­s must take on a joint triathlon challenge, involving a two-kilometre bike ride, a 100 metre open water swim, and a 1.5 kilometre cross country run. Last in the series.

Reported Missing (BBC1, 9pm-10pm)

Suffering from advancing dementia and heartbroke­n over the recent death of his wife, 82-year-old Archie has vanished, leaving no sign of his whereabout­s. PC Geoff Moore and the team have to get as much informatio­n as possible from his son Peter, who went to visit his father at home one morning to find his house empty. The police launch a full-scale search.

Second Chance Summer: Tuscany (BBC2, 9pm-10pm)

The group prepare for the annual autumnal olive harvest at La Banditacci­a farm, but interest soon wanes after the scale and arduous reality of the task hits home and the challenge of the harvest begins to split the camp. Two members of the group make it a personal mission to ensure that owner Maurizio’s olives are picked.

Being Black, Going Crazy? (BBC1, 11.45pm-12.20am)

Black men in Britain are 17 times more likely to be diagnosed with a serious mental health condition than white men, and six times more likely to be an inpatient in a mental unit. The shocking statistics don’t stop there - of those inpatients, 56 per cent have been sectioned.

How to Live Mortgage Free with Sarah Beeny (Channel 4,8pm-9pm)

Some people might think it’s easy to live mortgage free with Sarah Beeny – you just move in and let her pay the bills using her Property Ladder money. But seeing as we can’t all fit in her spare room, she’s meeting people who have managed to buy their own home without racking up huge debts.
